I recently bought a toadstool and in a couple of days it had extended all it's little polyps and looked good, now for a couple of days it hasn't extended any. Water parameters were fine.

They shed skin jspicer16 and this may be why its closed now
they often do this shortly after introduction to a new set up IME

It may start to shrink in size very shortly and look scrunched up
then in a couple of days to a week the old skin will start peeling off
and then it will open again

make sure it has a decent amount of flow going around it, as this helps to speed up the skin shedding process IME

Leathers are one of those weird corals that close up for water changes for a few days, they just get pissed off at that because you changed something.

It also may be shedding, they shed when growing or when stressed, i would assume it is stressed due to you just buying it recently..Just let it adapt to your tank for a week or soo and it should start opening up.
