so i just looked at my toad stool to see where i am going to cut him so that i can remove him to my big tank and i realized he has quite a hole in the middle.... probably the size of a quarter..

i thought it was just dust that tends to accumulate on him once in a while but when i removed it i saw the hole in there.... is he ok? or should i be worried?

He will be perfectly fine, but you need to keep an eye out for a predator - perhaps a bristle worm. Looks to me as if someone nibbled on him. He will recover in no time at all with zero detriment to his health - but you do not want someone to keep munching on him either. look at the tank with the light out and see if you find the cause

In rare instances he could be starting to split or even developing a bud to split out. I still remain leary when I see something like this and always think the worse....best to stay aleart I suppose :) just keep an eye on it and don;t worry for now.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Exactly what I was going to say/post.

Sometimes when someone is munching on the toadstool you will see something simiar to sawdust around the area.

It's Been having that dust for awhile and today is the first time the hole appears... Also, Toadstool shrinked a bit...

I'm looking around and I don't see anything munching it...
Could my coral banded shrimp be the culcript? He always hangs by the toadstool but I've never seen it harm it...

I also have a peppermint shrimp. Which I've never seen close by it either...
What should I be looking for?

A yellow to cream colored nudibranch, sometimes very hard to spot.
