I was looking at my tank and noticed these tiny stick-like things clinging to or coming out of one of my peices of live rock. They are gray-white in color. The rock is maybe a few inches a across, to give you an idea of size. Everything is probably half the size they appear in the first photo.

(White dots are sand. The questionable area is mainly on the bottom and top of the rock, but also in the small cave at left.)

The tank has been up and running since Jan. 4 of this year and has no livestock except 5 blue leg hermits.

They are so small I have no idea what they are. Tube worms are the only thing that comes to mind.

I took that one with the macro setting on my Droid2. I will get the good camera and see if I can get a better picture.

Even with those shots, I still couldn't get close enough to see the texture on these things.

I've shaken the rock in the water before. They are on there good and won't fall off.
