I'm working on them. I think I need to go into the garage to take the pictures. Your snails are super small compared to what I photgraphed last time. I'm trying to capture the key features that will ID them. I'm having a tough time without the proper set up.... it's time to set up my photo room again.

They'll be up today.... I'll get the shots one way or another. Grrrrrrr!

Yeah, these are smaller than a grain of rice.

I really appreciate you doing this!

Did any of them arrive alive after the shipping delay?

    Good luck with the photos!

The colonista is alive. The rissoids/pyrams did not not make the trip. It's actually easier to take pics of just the shells.

I'm getting closer. The tip is just so hard to get and its one if the key elements. I might just take them to Hubby's work and look at them under a scope.

Sounds good... I hope you look at them all... as I said in my email, most of them came off the front glass at night, which I believe these were eating algae...

one of them (and it was the only one I could find on a snail) was on an astrea snail...

that's crazy that the collonistas are still alive!

Honestly, because the pyramid snails have no operculum, I wonder if they are just crawled way back into their shells, and could be alive as well? I kinda noticed they seem to go deep into their shells when I was trying to take pictures.

I'm going to have to put them under a scope.

It will be interesting to find out, and hopefully Incognito can get some good spire pics. The thing about pyramidellids not having operc's isn't exactly true, however. That was some bad info that was put out by a few of the experts years ago. There are a bunch of pyramidellids that have opercs :)
