    I understand that one of the problems of making a DIY chiller is the probe that goes in the water. Needs to conduct well and be saltwater resistant. I was wondering if one of the newer titanium heaters with the guts taken out would work for this. I thought of this because titanium is expensive, yet these newer heaters seem to be reasonably priced.
