    Hi,

I am new here and working on setting up a 40 gallon reef tank (pretty much all DIY) and I am wanting to build a rock background into the tank. I had read somewhere else that Thorite (produced by Thoroseal) is a reef safe cement and that it had been safely used to cement coral to rock before beign placed in a tank. Just curious if anyone here was familiar with this product and could comment on it?

Not familiar with that cement. I used Portland cement when I made my rocks. Worked great, just took a long time to cure and for the pH to come down.
