If the beams were found by the hooks then there should not be a problem.

id maybe rethink it they do make some hooks for dry wall only that support from wedging in or a hook around the back.

Instead of putting more holes into my ceiling, isnt there a way I can make a wooden light rack and just have it sitting into the canopy. I would just take the hinged door off and replace it with the rack having it sit on the ledge where the top would meet the bottom?
