    My 75 is 3ft long and 15.5" wide. 32" tall. I like to keep algae at bay.

    You will be sorry with a 40 IMO.

    Windows grow algae no matter what. As far as your glass, the new snails will help, but you will still see algae on the glass. They aren't good at attention to detail.
