    yea the shell is deffiently much smoother. I think were actually getting somewhere that we seem to agree that its some kind of oyster, but what, who knows :)

    it does have the grooves of the soft shelled clam but has the shape of the oyster

    Oops, just realized I didn't post an edited soft shell. I edited yours. They have the same groves though. You get the idea.

    Ah-hah! "These shells are 1 to 3 inches long and irregular in surface structure. The exterior is white to purple or brown with some reddish-purple. The interior is grayish white, often with a green tinge.     the description sounds just like it and the shell looks just like mine except much much smaller, guess i lucked out with mine being pink! I think that's the closest ID that we have found

    The link I posted last says that kind of oyster is between 1" - 3". Sounds like we have got a match?
