thermometer leaking the red stuff. toxic?

    I don't believe that the small amount of alcohol there is in a thermometer that size will have any adverse effect on your system, I would guess that there is not even 1 milliter of alcohol in that thermometer, and there are 1,892 milliters in a gallon so if you only had a 20 gallon tank you would have a 37,840 to 1 ratio of water to alcohol. Plus you did a 20% water change on top of that, So JMO I would not worry about it. ..............................................................................John

    yea, its all good. the damsels are fine. i didnt think it would be a problem, but i just wanted to be sure. thanx for all the input

    The damsels are getting a new home, and my lion will be all by her lonesome in my 44 corner tank. it should make a nice home.

    I dont mean to go away from the topic but I also have damsels and a dwarf lion mixed together. The damsels are big enough vertically not to fit in his mouth so he leaves them alone. My experience is that they will not harass or eat anything unless it will fit in there mouth.
