Yep that purple milli is my favourite still and it cost me 12 bucks USD

no most is either out of Indonisia and Australia with some local aquacultured stuff also now in the mix - some designer zoanthids have started becoming popular here.

the quality is very good IMO - most of the LFS that specialise in corals seem to know what they are doing IMO - some of the skimmers are taller and wider than my 8 year old son , running the display tanks and coral selling systems
prices - Aussia stuff is premium priced by the standards here
Im used to being asked for 20 bucks max for any coral I ever enquired about but was shocked and in fact refrained from buying an electric green, bleeding apple scolly as the vendor asked me for 80 bucks usd (1000 local currency - which seeing as my 1/4hp chiller cost that price, seemed excessive for a coral - although I did regret not getting it when I noted the prices people in the states or UK would pay for one of these premium corals)

    Thank you blackraven

    Hey Steve,

If you don't mind me asking, and sorry if you've covered this already and I missed it. Job wise, what are you doing over there? Do you speak Mandarin or the local dialect?

I bet you eat really really good...

    Job wise
I work for UK lighting company and we import assembled lighting into the UK which is made in factories in China
we have a registered office with 18 people in it, and we look after
Quality control , pre shipment inspections, factory audits both ethical and technical, logistics, sourcing and product development.

I speak reasonable Mandarin and some Cantonese
cant read or write it as well as my 8 year old son can, but I get by without an interpreter at meetings and on inspections etc.

Too cool Steve. We need more pictures though :) lol

Beautiful livestock and good prices too (compared to US).

    Nice looking frags - congrats!

They get the premium fish but corals not so much. It's just a matter of who pays more and given the dollar is weak, we can only get so much :) pound for pound I suspect we get the lions share.

    update

Im sure due to location , that the above link will not be a problem for 3 reef sponsors

the above store, is where I have purchased most of my recent items
its 40 mins from my home ( so no need to do the 4 hour return journey to Guangzhou)

the link provided has a problem, in that if you change the language to English - none of the images of coral or fish show

    but its really simple

I have copied the link on here so it opens on 1st page of corals
go down to bottom and click on arrow to see subsequent pages

on the left hand side in the large red block -
    1st link is butterfly fish
    2nd link is Angel fish
3rd - damsels and clowns etc
    4th - wrasse
    5th - tangs
    next 3 are all corals
after that its Reef Octopus product

as you can see they have a large list on the site
I half expected to be dissapointed when I visited the shop
    but found
    about 20 tanks containing fish
and about 30 tanks containing corals
