The new Radion XR30w Pro LED aquarium light is around the corner and here is a 1 minute overview of its features by Ecotech Marine co-founder Tim Marks. Tim was a pro himself only needing 1 take to highlight the Radion Pro use of XD LEDs for the white & blue channels, 24 watts of hyperviolet and much more. The camera guy, a film major from a prestigious film school in Madison, Wisconsin - could have used a few more takes. Putting Tim in front of the powerful Radion XR30w Pro was a brilliant move turning Tim into The Shadow from the 1940's comic book. But when it comes to talking about the Radion, The Shadow truly knows.

There's a film school in Madison? I know there's a little Farmers college. They must be moving up...

I would like some insight on why they made the changes they did and what effects it has on existing profiles/programs people have already made.

Yeah those arches off the tank are sweet.

The 'prestigious' bit was a joke. I went to UW-Madison. We worked with TV/FILM/Radio equipment straight out of the 1950's. State of the art. :)

I'll see what I can find out about this things.

Yeah, those are sweet. Did you happen to find out if they're going to offer an upgrade kit for the plain old Radions?

i like them, but i just get me how they make 1-2 little changes every year to make it the new and improved. then most of the time an upgrade is almost as buying a new light, so either way you have break out the card

    Some answers for you all....

Those brackets were custom made for the show.

New EcoSmart Live will allow for integration of the new lights into your existing profiles.

Yes there will be upgrade options. Domestically there will be a couple options. Internationally there will be a kit option. Prices are not set yet.

The Radion XR30w Pro LED will be available Spring 2013.
