I just got an email form The Kings College (in New York City) about a $40,000 scholarship. They do not mention my name in the email, I did not get a phone call, and I did not send them my SAT scores. But on the SAT, I got a 1480.

    Is this a scam?

    Here is their website...

Looks like a Religious college. You plan on having a reef tank built in a Monastery?

The website seems to be laid out kind of weird. I can't find the tuition costs and I can't find the majors they offer...

    lol. There's also a $250 enrollment fee.

Looks like they just want to teach you the basics. Never heard of a school that trains you to be an influencer.

This school is tiny. Why such high tuition?

If it involves money in an email I better have contacted you first or to the delete bin it goes.

Let me add to this. I work with automations at work (phishing, email attacks, stuff like that.) Like I said bottom line if it talks money & you didnt initiate contact be wary. Contact them via phone, if its an established business, school, whatever they will have a public access (whitepages) number, mailing address, full contact info etc. If its a place you are interested in contact them thru public access means and not thru whatever they provide in the email to help ensure its on the level. You might just get transferred to the phone or email provided in the email, but then you know its legit.

Thanks, Khowst. I know it [TKC] is a private business school in NYC. But before this, I'd never heard of it - probably because its so small. I had thought about business school, but I never actually looked into any particular colleges for it.

BTW - all my links above are from my own Google search and not from any links in the email which I received.
