It's impossible to answer. They all have advantages and disadvantages.

There are a bunch of Tank of the Month winners from reefkeeping magazine, which are debatabley the nicest tanks in the world, running t5ho.. so don't believe that t5 isn't a great technology. Especially for a 22" deep tank.

Lol i heard led are not that good for taller tanks the light doesn't pentrate to the bottom your corals have to be moved to the top of the tank but most tanks i c no a days have them plz more opinions plz

Hardest question in the world to answer.
Metal halides, t5ho and leds would all light that tank fine.
    It's personal preference really.

    I have had all 3 and I prefer t5s :)

and MH give off tons of heat! so go t5 or led. cree leds with optics will do fine at 22"

This is incorrect. LEDs penetrate very well. Unless you are getting above 40" or so in actual tank depth where 1000 watt metal halides become about the only choice. But even on those, there are a few led options.

    Exactly.

Go to 3Reef's "Show your Tanks" forum and check out a few threads. You'll see many beautiful tanks of all sizes running T5HO, MH, and LED. Maybe that will help you decide.

I, too, prefer T5HO. If you do go LED, I would recommend a modular or DIY unit; it will be much easier to repair or upgrade than an 'as-is' model.
