Aqua Medic's latest nano, the Nano~Wave 9 sure looks good on paper - PC lights, refugium, venturi skimmer and even a moonlight.

    What do you think?

someone should of patented this design because they all look the same...i.e. nanocube (jbj), biocube (oceanic), nano wave (aquamedic), aquapod (current usa), max (red sea)...someday one of these companies will actually gather a design team to do some thinking of their own.

Depends on the size of the mantis. What kind are you considering getting?

My LFS got a stack of these about 2 weeks ago, and I went back to the store yesterday and half of them were gone. They seem like a pretty nice little setup. The "sump" area has a tiny bioball column, a fuge with lighting, and a tiny protein skimmer. The one con I found out was that you can not drill this tank because the glass is tempered. That's the only reason my LFS employee bought the biocube over this setup, because he wanted to drill it into his main aquarium.

Other than that it looked good.

Looks like it would make a great species tank. I was actually looking to start a micro-reef for my grandson. A mushroom, maybe a small toadstool, one or two fish. Or maybe a planted tank...Hmmm... it has possibilities!
