The 3reef PCRF Donation Drive

This post is from several years ago now, but I thought you ought to know about the PCRF - Planetary Coral Reef Foundation as they do great work. Also, any donation receipts sent to me will still get you a PCRF badge in your profile.

For the past 9 years straight, the Research Vessel Heraclitus has been traveling the world studying the state of our coral reefs, supported by the <a href="http://www.pcrf.org" target="new">Planetary Coral Reef Foundation.</a> Some of their goals are to establish a comprehensive global baseline map of coral reef colonies using GPS, satellites and other state of the art equipment, to track the health of coral reefs worldwide and provide quantitative information about the change in their health over time. This information should be pivotal in future governmental decisions regarding our reefs.

As reef enthusiasts, we need to raise awareness of the RV Heraclitus and the PCRF and show our support for their efforts. Below you will find a link to a PCRF donation page, any money you can spare will go to the PCRF to help keep the RV Heraclitus afloat so the crew can complete their mission. Recently, 3reef raised close to $300 for the PCRF and became an <a href="http://www.pcrf.org/sponsors.html" target="new">official PCRF sponsor.</a>
