tempered or not (looking at tank as i type)

    im looking at a tank(used) right now its a 225 not drilled how do i tell if its tempered or not? i have 2 pairs of polorized glasses but not sure how to do this test. i also have a cellphone(droid 2).

    Put on the polarized lens sunglasses and look at the glass. It is best to do this in sunlight as it will be easier to see. You are looking for rainbowish looking patterns in the glass. Kind of like oil on water. If you see that, the glass is tempered. If no markings are seen, it is not tempered.
