    I have 125 mixed reef. But I have a lot SPS corals. It getting pretty hot in Chicago. I'm just wondering what temperature you guys keep your reef tanks, specially wit SPS. I keep mine at 79,80. Too high? Thanks.

    I personally don't think that is too high, but I wouldn't want it to get higher. My SW tanks are kept around that same temp. :)

    IMO I would feel comfortable anywhere from 75-81 degrees.

    def not too high, some keep them at 82ish on here. personally I think 80 is about right.

    77-78 for me. I think 80 is too hot but I am constantly proven wrong

    I try to stay 78-81 myself. But I do only have softies right now as well.

    My heater is set at 79 and 95% of the time, that's where it stays. On very hot days (in August) it will reach 81, but nothing seems to mind it.
