    I figured that it would help the micro- and macro-algae grow, but apparently it doesn't :-/

    Wondering the same thing myself. Aesthetics? Meh; no whites for me if I was to build one.

    Changeable LED, hmm, that's going to be a ?, especially for just refugium use.

    take evolved and grims ideas on the 1st page and combine them. (3 red, 2 green, 1 royal blue) thats what i would want. Changeable leds will just add to costs, so i dont care about that really. put them in the format of a par38 bulb and your set, doesnt have to be a par38, its just what comes to my mind first.

    I like this, I'm thinking keep the cost close to $30 or so if you can.

    BUT, I want 1-2 NW led on there so I can see my pods and other critters better;)

    Also, I'd add a timer to it as an option

    I just cant see the RB being useful in the sump, I would like a bit more white but not aginst the RB if you were going to put frags in the sump.

    2red 2white 2green?

    yeah I agree with the more white, I like to be able to see whats going on in there better than I could with no whites;)
