Does anyone know good tankmates for a Banjo Catfish? Since I moved all my FW fish to a large tank, I can keep an eye on him better. Yesterday he buried himself in the sand, and he was still there this morning. When I give him sinking algae wafers, the other fish get them before he has a chance. I just want to ensure he is eating but it's difficult with the other fish being so outgoing.

Should he be in his own tank perhaps?

I would try floating pellets to distract the fish and use the sinking pellets to feed him. Just an idea.

I tried that with flakes, and put a wafer by the catfish. He didn't budge, but once the other fish found it, they bothered him so much he buried himself back in the sand.

I think banjos are more active a night so put a wafer in after lights out. Don't put any small fish in unless you want them to be feeders for the cat.
