    bozo's eh maybe.

FO tanks with wet/dry? um yup, and of course. Hate to tell you but many many many many commercials tanks are FO and very etremely high percentage of those are wet/dry. Is wet/dry old technology to you? yup sure is, but its proven and works very easily with minimal issues and can support FO..... PERFECTLY! So what they are pulling off my friend is right on the money for what they are making.

I'm sorry but some peoples thought process is a little bit unrealistic. Like its been said several times over look at what they are selling. As we all know coral tanks take alot more maintenance & care then a FO tank. With these tanks in a business/casino/etc when would said maintenance take place and who would care for it? Take the casino for example, alot of those places are 24/7 so the imprint needs to be quick, in & out. Since those places are 24/7 that would mean the lighting schedule at 24/7 isnt going to be very coral friendly. So if they loaded up a 24/7 lit coral tank then we would then bash them for that.

Lets say the phone booth tank for example. Someone please explain to me what kind of lighting would be used to light a 7ft deep tank that would allow coral from top to bottom? seriously what type?

This is not a show about reef/coral tanks if people havent quite noticed that yet.

Some peoples opinions of the show are as unrealistic as the show itself. Some people dont like the show, we got that, but lets at least take thigns into perspective.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Perspective is highly subjective.

I do not watch the show, not interested, but that is just me. If it were a show on husbandry technique I would be all over it. ( I have seen the clips and previews of the show).

My problem is it seems to be a gateway to people jumping in to the hobby, most are not going FO tanks only, after a few months they will buy more sensitive inverts and fish, we all realistically know how the majority of those animals will end up.

Next up to bat should be a fish hording reality show, it's all the same silliness IMO.

I think coral hoarding would be more realistic :)

this week on coral hoarders, John misses his wedding reception to go to a frag swap. Then, Bobs wife gets into a serious argument after Bob buys a 1500 dollar watermelon chalice...
    LOL

Has anyone here actually been in a LFS where someone NOT already into the hobby has been talking about it? I have visited 7 LFS in the past 2 weeks, probably spent about 7 hours combined total during my visits and have yet to see someone to walk in looking for a cool pimped out TANKED tank & some fish. I had the same thoughts myself initally but I have yet to see it.

I know we have LFS workers/ owners on the board, what say you?
