    I have my 2 reg thermometers and I have a digital thermometer. It has an alarm sensor if my temp goes too high. Get a new heater, after making sure that your thermometer is correctly reading the temp. Get a back-up heater too to prevent this from happening again.

    Trust me it feels very warm i am used to the Florida waters that are 76 now and 80 in the summer and it feels pretty warm.

    If it's not even warm then your thermometer is giving you a false reading..

    Are the lights out as part of your regular lighting timing or are they messed up?

    Well i just noticed on the Heater package it said " Electronic thermostat automatically maintains water temperature at 78+-2 degrees Fahrenheit"

    Yep. I would get new thermometer nice time your at your LFS. Coralifes own quality control is +/- 4 degrees, meaning that in an hour the temp can go from four degrees colder to four degrees hotter than actual temp (for a total difference of 8 degrees without an actual temp change), and coralife considers that good enough to sell to customers ;)

    The coralife thermometers are very unreliable. Buy an alcohol thermometer.
