    How exactly can you tell the difference between a zoanthid and a polyp. I have a hard time with these myself.:-/

    The tentacles on button polyps tend to be longer and "pointier" than a zoanthid. Beyond that, I have no idea how to tell them apart. Might want to count tentacles and see if there's a difference there?

    Would you say the first pic is polyp and the second is zoanthid?

    The brown stuff...Montipora Undata..?
    I love the look of it in the blue moon light...
    I looks like it is glowing...

    Yes, first pic is a button polyp, second is a zoanthid. Can't tell what the 3rd picture is as it's very blurry. Can you take a close up picture of the polyps?

    there was allot on some of the the rocks I purchased...
    From what I see on other post... I pay a premium price up here...:eek:

    The other brown stuff...
    I posted a few pics back... That is about the best I could do...:-[
    The polyps.. There is only the one and it is the only angle I can get with out moving a rock...
