Tang injury

    This evening I noticed what appears to be a slight injury to my vlamingii tang. It looks almost like a burn mark? Could it have made contact with my bta?

    Very possible the nem hit him. I know when my shark got hit it left a streak like burn mark and freaked me out. Looks like it's not gonna be a problem though. Beautiful fish, my wife wants one so bad. I guess that's one way to get a bigger tank lol.

    He'll be ok, then. The only fish I've lost to a single nem sting (Coral Beauty vs Condy) only lasted about 5 minutes, during which time he was frantically darting around the tank and panting heavily. I have had others that survived individual stings.

    Would it be possible that my aggressive Sohal tang could cause an injury like this?

    It's always possible but the wound looks more like a burn. I got lucky with my sohal. He runs the tank but in a "fish friendly" manner. Lol.
