Would it benefit my look in my tank if I replace the daylight bulb with a 10,00k? I have a daylight and a 420

What look are you going for? More blue? It would be slightly cooler looking but not much, your daylight is probably 6500k which would be more yellow than the 10k. But it won't make much difference when looking at the tank IMO.

Your tank would most likely look a little bluer and you should get a little better color from your corals.

If you put a 10k bulb in place of your daylight you would never go back. It will make everything look a lot better. You'll see a really nice clean difference.

The daylight is most likely 10,000K but could be 6500K. Might be listed on the bulb.

I used the 10k by aquaticlife before and dont really care for it. Too white IMO, I used it with a ATI Blue+ and with the aquaticlfie blue bulb before.
I know run 2 ATI Blue+, 1 ATI coral+, and 1 Geissmann aquablue 14K and love the look

I'm now running ATI's - 2 Coral Plus and 2 Blue Plus and it looks awesome.
So 1 of each would give you the same result.

I love ATI bulbs. I'm running 2 blue+, 1 aqua special, 2 actinic and 1 purple plus. Its amazing what you can do with T5's.

I lost yellow florescence in my orange/yellow Zoas when I went from 10k to Coral Plus or ABSpecial. I love ATI's bluer bulbs...even got my LFS to stock ATI bulbs :)

But I still keep the 10k in the mix for those really high (yellow/orange/red) fluorescent proteins to prosper

I personally run a 6 bulb + Blue LED setup on my 55...

    Back to front:

    Blue Plus
    10k
    LED BLUES
    Actinic
    Actinic
    10k
    Blue Plus

I like it a lot, and have everything set on a fade up/down setting on 4 timers :)
