switching powerheads

    i was offered a deal on a new hydor wavemaker setup it has 2 1400 gph heads and a controller right now i run a tunze 1700 gph & hydor i think its 1000gph but these are not controlled ,do you think the 2 1400s on a controller will be enough i have all sps mostly acros in a 90 gal. thanks

    I would add them in to your current mix. You should be able to use the old powerheads on the controller also. Just use multiple plug ends.

    the tunze said it could not be used w/a wave maker think i could? trying to find the instructionson the koriala not sure but you think i can use them?

    If the Tunze said no then don't do it. The other Koralia should work.

    only thing i was wondering both the tunze and the koriala are old ,tunze probably 6-7 years koriala 4-5 could they be to old for a wave maker? i know the tunze cant be used but not sure of the other wouldnt want to fry it but would it be worth a shot?

    if you're that concerned a new koralia 750 is like $33 shipped!

    not concerned just think its foolish to toast something if you dont have to rather keep it for a backup i work in the pet trade and get all my supplies at wholesale so price isnt a factor.just looking for a little input on the subject
