So besides my marine aquarium, I keep a 10 gallon freshwater in my 4 year old son's room. Yesterday, I had 4 fish in there. I came home today, and there were 11!! It appears his Dalmatian Mollies had babies. He is soo excited.

There is nothing else in his tank but the 2 mollies, a pleco, and a little ruby red minnow that was supposed to be dinner for my lion fish, buy my son saved him. I don't think any of them will eat them. This is my first time with fry, maybe I can keep them alive and healthy.

Just an FYI, Rosey Reds are not a good good item for a lion. They have too much Thiaminase in their flesh and strip your lion of it's much needed B vitamin.

Now your sons Mollie on the other hand.... they don't have the enzyme (so would be preferred food over the RR, albeit contain too much of the wrong kinds if fat).

Yeah, I'm trying like crazy to get the lion to eat other food, but if it's not live, he won't touch it.

Ghost shrimp, mollies and guppies are a better alternative while trying to convert.
