Surface skimming on BioCube

    I have a 29 Gallon Biocube and have stuff sit on the surface of my water. Should I block the lower intake to improve surface skimming?

    Not sure about blocking the intake, no experience with that

    but one alternative you could look at is increasing the flow at/ near, the water surface to drive the water towards that top overflow and thus carry away the build up with it
