Any kind! Most (including me) find the gel superglue to be the easiest to work with. I personally use Locktite gel from Lowe's. I pick up a bottle every time I go so I always have a couple in stock!!

When I glue something to a small rock I let it set out for 10-15 minutes before I put it back it. Most all corals will be fine out of water for this long, consider it low tide :p

Get it into the tank as quick as possible. You want the curing of the glue to take place underwater. Keep pressure on it just long enough so that it sticks, then get it underwater and hold it there till it sets.

after you glue, dip the coral with the rock into the tank water you have in a small bowl. it will cool the super glue off. the process of superglue doing it's job makes heat. then back into the tank as soon as the glue is set. it will cure in the tank

I personally have had no problem with letting the frag sit out of water for 10-15 minutes. This includes SPS as well as softies. I find that a good bond of the glue is hard to get if you put the frag in water immediately. I have even shut the main flow off for 30 min. with little luck. But I have lots of flow in my tank so maybe that is the cause :)...

you don't find the glue gets too hot? chemical reaction....I think I killed a few zoas early on, then I started dipping and haven't lost a single thing I've fragged.. maybe I put too much on?:-/
