Well. The silicone idea is working so far. The tank is filled up and the second batch of water is mixing to fill up the sump. I purchased a 20g long to house my new (old) ETSS and friends. There even appears to be room for a small fuge. I'll just cut a piece of acrylic and wedge it in there. Throw some eggcrate on top of it and I have my divider.

Looks good. I'm glad you had the foresight to test the system for the top water fill level and the bottom minimum level

OK, so part of the studness is gone. I forgot to cement the PVC together with the PM to skimmer hookup. I'll tell ya. A Mag 9 can really shoot water straight up quickly. I caught it quickly enough. I was right there. But the moral to the story is, water pressure can be your enemy. Hehehe.

Now let's keep the fountain pumps employed in, well, fountains. :) Glad you were there. That could have been seriously very ugly.

    Good job!

I'll warn you with the return of your protein skimmer being under the water it will affect the water level in the skimmer with the little bit of back pressure you'll get. It will change as the water level drops.
