Resolved strang new things in my fug

    attached is a pic of my fug, i never cleaned the algea in it because i thought if it was in there it was keeping the nutrients out of my DT, no algea in my dt period on in my fug

    but i was looking my the fug today and saw these like little white shrimp thing crawling around and also a few worm like thing in the sand that were red and looked to have spines/needle looking things on them. now i couldnt get a clear pic of them

    Google amphipods,copepods and bristle worms and you'll probably have the answer.If so,all are good to have.

    thats what i thought just wanted a confirm but also is it ok for the algea to be there as long as its not in dt?

    IMO ..yes but you should find out the "why" of this GHA. jmo

    ..and get some cheato and rock rubble in there ! ; )

    Mucho better there than your main tank,thats half of the purpose of a fuge ;)

    good, just trying to make sure things stay perfect are close to perfect. this is my first tank its a fowlr.

    Yup,completely agree with LG,get some rock and chaeto in there and you'll be in business.

    i tried cheato in there and it never grew. i have a grow light but rocks i plan on putting more in.
