storing water

    eventually i want to get an R/O DI system, but cant fork up the cash at this point. So can you store saltwater/freshwater in 5 gallon buckets for a few days, weeks even before utilizing it?

    Definitely !! My top off water is in a covered 5 gallon plastic bucket from home depot. bottled water is stored for long periods of time in plastic containers, and you can even buy pre-mixed or even filtered sea water in plastic containers. ..............................................................John
