    Ive caught MANY MANY rays while fishing off a pier on Annia Marie Island. They are a nusiance and most people just leave them on banks

    Most fish are actually very hardy. It just happens to be that reef fish are not has hardy as other fish. I have a temperate tank and the fish in it are abserdly hardy and can handle anything you throw at them. Especially fish that get that big, they usually can handle a lot.
