For starters the tank is in my bedroom and I don't want MH blinding me at 8am on a Saturday. So, I think t5 is for me, but which one. What brand do I get the best bang for my buck? I have a 125 it is only 18" deep. Will I be limited on my corals with just using t5? My light selection is limited due to the length(doesn't appear all makers have 72"). Would 60" have enough light? (just a thought) What do you guys run? I understand lighting isn't the place skimp but I still would like to be able to afford fish after I buy them;D lol. Any advice or input is greatly appreciated.

You could always run your lighting period like i do... my lights dont start coming on till 5pm, and finally go off at 1am. I only did that because im up mostly during those times anyway. IF thats the main issue look into that.

T5 will let you grow all varieties of coral, given enough power. I cant suggest a fixture to fit that because 6' is a long light. Maybe 2 36" fixtures with 4 bulbs each?

Thats not a light..... THIS IS A LIIIGHT. lol that thing is huge. I would go with that or like stated 2 4 bulb 36" lights. I think one light would be best. Not sure what bulbs are made to fit that beast...

I was referring to the 6' ones. Are there any aftermarket bulb manufactueres that make bulbs for it, like ATI or Geisman?
