Well I've been curious to ask this for a while: how exactly does an aquarium maintain parameters? I mean with all the gigantic 10,000 and 25,000 gallon tanks I'm pretty sure they don't do water changes by starting a siphon and putting the water into buckets..... do they?

They have massive sandfilters, multiple massive protein skimmers, and enough industrial sized plumbing to build a city.
