    For my sps tank, I want a high turnover rate. I am thinking about 80 - 90X turnover. Currently I have 3 of the Koralia 425s. My return will give me an additional 800gph. So I want to add about 3500gph flow.

    I am looking into the money side of things and 3 Koralia 1400s would be $180...or $120 for 2 1400s and a 750.

    What about Vortech pumps? I think the Vortech mp40 would be the equivalent to this much flow(at 2000-3200gph). This costs $450. I was also looking at getting 2 mp20s instead of one mp40. This should give me flow from both sides of the tank. 800gph more flow(than 1 mp40) for $50 more.

    I guess I want to balance cost versus aesthetics...I don't want a whole bunch of powerheads in my tank. But I don't want to pay a fortune for them either. Koralia and Vortech are both very popular brands.

    I just noticed that Big Als is also having a sale right now.
    Koralia Evolution

    What would be the best option for me?

    I've heard people say that the Vortech pumps create a "wall f water" in the flow...would this mean that technically, less flow is needed, as the amount of flow is spread out more?

    So I could go with 2 MP10s?

    I think two mp10s would work quite well in a 75. A friend of mine has one in his tank and it moves a lot of water...I think two would work quite well for sps.

    OK, they cost $220 at FS Aquatis, Aquacave, as well as Big Als' Online. I also looked at a few Youtube videos. With the wave pump, they make some awesome waves in a tank. :)

    What's the difference b/w the MP10 ES and the Mp10w ES?

    Edit: "w" stands for wireless...::)

    I don't know if the nonwireless one are connectable. The connectability of then is one thing that makes them extra awesome with some of the programmed features they have.

    "Each energy efficient pump includes a wave driver to control the various operational modes."

    What would be the purpose of connecting them if they each have their own controller/driver?

    You sync them or anti sync them. Some of the modes utilize 2 or three pumps and willcycle though them for a back and forth action.
