    Have you tried something new?
Also sounds like if your Alk was really high. That happened to me once and it was my Alk that was high. Luna

Your numbers are good. I don't see a problem anywhere there either. But let's face it, I've only had four months worth experience and the only thing I can hope to do is jog the memory of a pro.

1.) You say you changed the lighting. How old was the lighting when you started having your problems? And when you changed, did you change to something that would lend itself better to photosynthesis? The type of lighting you bought is beyond my knowledge base. ......or

2.) How old are the RO/DI filters? I can see some damage being done there if you have some contaminated water getting through especially if you are on a well.

That's all I can think of. Hearing someone of experience having problems makes me nervous. May luck and knowledge be with you. John.

pharmrjohn has a great point about the bulbs. How old where they before you changed them out? Luna

That's a good idea. It's a contaminate. And a bad one. How are your inverts?

This fixture I scored for cheap. It's a coralife 2x150 with two 96W PC actinics. The owner was a fellow worker who said it was only 2 months old. The halides were 10K, and I replaced them with 14K, bulbs that are far superior, I'm told by Tangster who I trust implicitly.

The problem manifested itself before the bulb switch, and in my mind could only be improved by the new bulbs.

As far as the copper kit, I'll pick one up, but this is a brand spanking new 90 gallon tank. Unused.

Pharm--the RO/DI was bought brand new too--it's now about 7 months old.
