I have no idea what this thing is. It comes out every evening a few hours before the lights go off. It is truly an amazing sight but no clue what it is. Some help would be great! It is to the right of the 'shroom.[IMG]

Thanks for the welcome and the information. I am just starting my reef keeping adventure and like any reef fan i spend hours (sad I know) in front of the aquarium searching every crevice for new creatures. I noticed this thing with it's beautifully patterned shell but never knew what it was. Nice to know! There is one other thing I have that I don't know but it is hard to get a picture of. Maybe you know. There is this organism that lives in one of my rocks. It hangs from the ceiling of the rock and catches things from below. It is about 2" long that i can see. If you do an image search for an unopened angel trumpet... that is the best way i can describe it's looks. Like I said, it is deep in a dark rock so the camera has a hard time.

No, I do have a couple of those but this actually hangs down and is thick throughout, i will try to get a picture of him tonight. but I can't guarantee how well it will turn out but I will try. I just got this digital SLR and I am still trying to figure the darn thing out.
P.S. Doesn't really have tenticles. If he does there are only 4 short (a couple mm max).
