I know I will benefit from Kamil's photo article. My photo's pretty much stink, but here are a few are none-the-less. :)

    The tank...

Another chunk of LR with good coralline and a vermatid on there somewhere...

Been a couple months. The plan is to add a little LR every week. I'm kinda playing with how it is stacks so I get maximum flow through and leaving room for my fishes to do laps. :)

Yeah, for sure. I'm thinking I want a 1.25 lb per gallon ratio, but I don't want it too crowded looking. I still need to leave vertical space for my eventual corals and such. I'm at about 50lbs of LR now. Think another 40 lbs would look ok. ;D

    Very nice setup Marty!

Be ever so careful about adding more LR to an existing system. Will likely kick tank into a cycle putting your existing fish in great peril.

Best you can do is "cure" rock yourself in another tank till you are sure it is "safe"

    Good Luck.

    Thanks for sharing pics.

    Thanks. :)

That's good to know. I pick my LR right out of my LFS's tank, does that make it safer to use?

Can I set up a sump/fuge to do that, or should it be a closed system?

most rock at the lfs is almost cured, but plan not to start your watching/waiting period until after you've added the last pieces

if youre curing and you've already started in with livestock introduction, it should probably be in a separate system with a powerhead and skimmer

    good times, over there
