Any idea how to get rid of a sixline wrasse without tearing down the reef. This fish has got to go and I need to explore all options for removal. Thanks!

Fish trap for starters and lots of patience.

2 liter bottle. Go to youtube.com and look up 2 liter fish traps and you will see how it's done. Use a clear bottle so the fish doesn't get scared of it. A couple tips I learned are to cut a tiny hole in the backside of the trap so that you can inject food directly into the trap, and to have a net ready to go because the wrasse will get out of the trap if you don't act fast.

It's easier than it seem, I just did it a couple weeks ago.

There is always the old fishing method with a barbless hook.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Good luck and you have my deepest sympathies.

Try to get him if at all possible before the lights go on in the am while he is sleeping in his cocoon.

    Lol... Well trap is in..

Day 1 was a bust, but I expected that. My hawkish howeve has decided to live in the trap so I hope he isn't keeping the wrasse away. Otherwise I'll have to move him to fuge:(
Thanks again for the help and support!

Why are you removing the wrasse? My wrasse and my ocellaris get along really well. Other than always on the hunt for copepods, my wrasse is a pretty friendly guy!

They are super fast and shifty and can hide in the smallest of cracks, good luck with the capture!!
