I think it's a load of bull, like the whole year 2000 scare. I saw it on a commerical on the discovery channel and went to the IHC *Institute for Human Continuity* site and they believe that a series of cataclysmic forces will wreck havoc on the earth

Agreed that the yr 2000 was a huge scare.
I do think that it is possible but certainly not in a matter of 3 yrs from now. Nor something to do with chemical imbalance.
My belief is that global warming will be the end of the earth as we know it but not the end of all life.:

 

If you study Geology ... You'll see that global warming is a myth.

We are in an interglacial period, where warming is inevitable ... regardless of our greenhouse gases. We might make it go a little quicker ... but its an inevitable earth process, thats going to happen, whether humans give it a boost or not.

Its happened 4 times before in the geologic record.

The poles changing is a bigger fear, no pattern, it just happens every few hundred million years.

When the north and south pole reverse, the magnetic field around the earth is non existent, which means no UV protection.

Most people think our Ozone is what keeps the uv rays out ... but without that magnetic field, life ceases to exist.

 

I should rephrase that.

Global warming isn't a myth, its obviously happening.

Humans being the reason for global warming ... is a myth.

Surely everyone knows that "The IHC" deal is for the movie "2012" and not real. Kinda like what "Lost" has been doing for years now.
