    Hey all!

Over the weekend I added 9 of what seemed to be Nerite snails only that I've only seen one online that have the same shell pattern as mine. The pattern is that of a black and white checker board twisted in the shape of their shells. I'd like to confirm that they are in fact Nerites.

The other object of interest is that after placing them in the tank, just a few hours later I find four consecutive pores on my LR about 4mm in diameter filled with white stuff, I'm talking really white. And it doesn't look liquidy or gooey, but I haven't had the courage the move it or touch it. Could they be snail eggs? SW tank Armageddon? Any ideas, thoughts, or stories.

Anything would be greatly appreciated. ;D

Hmmm, doesn't look good. I got the white spots on several different spots now. I got like 8 or 9 spots on the actual heater, and 2 turbo snails with 3 and 4 spots each. The spots are like the size of the smileys. Wierd.

With hardish shells? Are there any other types of snails in your set-up? Definitly now sounds like eggs to me, usaully my cerith and um, wait, maybe my nerites to, lay eggs like that. Now I have to do a water change to induce them to spawn again. Then I'll see.

Can it be the blessing of the white dots?   :-/

I doubt they would lay eggs on other living creatures.  What do you guys think?

    Sorry that the pictures suck.
