I have a 55 DT with a 20 refugium next to it. The refugium has 3 inches of Fiji mud, 5 different species of caulerpa, chaeto, about 5 different species of nuisance algae, and 2 turbo snails. I just added the turbos like an hour ago.

Quick question: I want to stock my refugiums with snails to eat the excess algae in it. Turbos are great at eating algae but I think they struggle in the Fiji mud and I'm worrying about them dieing in the mud. ?? Anyone have any insight into what snails I should put in this type or refugium? Will the turbos be ok in the mud or am I overeacting?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I would send John from Reefcleaners.org an email and see what he says, that is his area of expertise. A Nerite might work but I am not sure.
