    It's always good to plan ahead. I run a skimmer rated for over 200 gallons on my 30 just in case.

    Yeah that Xtreme 160 is going to be nice on my tank. Hopefully by the middle of next week!! ;D

    I've been runnin the Vertex skimme for about 6 months now. Absolutely an awesome skimmer for the money. Very well built and makes a lot of foam

    Yeah I was going between the Vertex and the SWC Xtreme 160. I went with the 160 because of the small footprint and crazy bioload capabilities.

    glad everyones on the same page... i also was looking at the vertex line as a possible primary choice. wound up being the reviewed ratings, footprint, and bioload capability as well for me.

    still waiting on the dang gov't refund check.... NEED MY STUFF YESTERDAY!

    I know how that goes. I needed my new skimmer last week. The ASM G1 is trying its best to keep up with my tank but it just can't.

    Well my 160 Xtreme is in the sump and breaking in. Dang that thing produces a lot of micro bubbles in that cylinder.
