Well my pump to my Xtreme 160 went out today, I think it had two years of running on it. I was wondering if I'm able to use the newer Sicce pump on the Xtreme 160? My only concern is that the older pump was female threaded and the smooth outside surface just slides right into the bottom of the skimmer. The newer Sicce pump is male threaded and I don't know if I will get that snug fit into the bottom of the skimmer? Any info would be awesome.;D

If it is the cone, I would try to modify it so you could put the bubble blaster 2000 on it. If it is the non cone, I would buy the bubble blaster 2000. No need to modify a thing.

Yeah I plan on calling them Monday morning. I need to get skimmer back on this tank ASAP though, so if I can't get a hold of them, then I will just buy the same Old PSK 2500 and probaly get another 2 years out of it.

I hadn't considered adding a BB to it... but I do absolutely love the pump.

I was wondering if SWC has a warranty that covers the pump. I've had it for about 18 months now?
