should I use calibration fluid for refractometer

    I bought one and calibrated using water, and my SG was 1.023. I have had a bunch of evaporation over the last few weeks, so this number didnt seem right. Should I calibrate using calibration fluid, or water.

    Calibration fluid. I used RO because the instructions with mine said it was all good to do so.
    Checked with a 35ppt solution and the refracto was reading about 4.5ppt high.
