I am thinking of doing my first (excluding clean up crew) livestock order. It will consist of a couple fish and a few corals most likely.

However, I will need the items to be delivered to work. I then would be able to get them into my aquarium after which is around 530. The shipment would be only coming from across the state.

Do you think this is asking for trouble (aka don't bother ordering)... or should I be safe?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    How are they shipping?
    What fish and corals specifically?
Are you using a reputable vendor?

Reputable dealer, yes. Not sure on shipping method since it's in state, but should be here the next day.

Coral will be a mix of LPS and SPS. Not sure on specifics yet.

Fish will be a yellow tang, potentially more (Maybe Mandarin, or Blenny)

Also, work is climate controlled.Figure it's worth mentioning.

Probably wouldn't be much of an issue in a controlled temperature environment but I always take a half day when I'm getting coral or fish to best improve their chances.

I would contact them just to see if they can put the fish in larger bags than the norm. They should all be fine, they come from around the globe but probably in much larger shipping containers. If they are using heat packs you might want to make sure the containers stay warm enough. I have gotten over night with heating packs that were very chilled, and I have gotten them warm as well. You can usually tell by just feeling the packaging.

Ok, that's good advice! They are using heating packs.
