Alright so my tank and my sump have mysteriously sprung leaks in the same week! :| A small trickle has turned into Loosing 5 Gallons an Hour (just checked).

So I'm going to the store today to purchase some rubermaid containers in order to keep all my critters in for a period of time. Do I need to do anything special to the containers to keep the animals alive for a week or two? My mind is running blank during this problem!

Just move your rock and all your filtration over too.

Yep, they will be fine. In the wild, zoanthids spend a good portion of their time completely covered with sand.

i'd still make sure the water was heated and there is some flow in the containers.

I would also wash the containers first, no telling what may have gotten on them at the store/in shipping.

    otherwise, they should be fine.

good luck. just remember if you disturb that sand bed in the tank without your livestock already out of that water column you could potentially damage/kill your livestock from a nitrate spike.

I'm seeing a leak in my 60gal frag tank as well. I don't know where it's coming from though.
Good luck with the re build. I'm heading in the fish room to find that leak.
    Thanks for the reminder;)
