    Sharks threatened with extinction

Almost a third of sharks and rays found in the open ocean are threatened with extinction – largely as a result of overfishing, conservationists have warned.

Well, for a dissenting point of view, I am not buying into any of that. There is no global warming (it is a myth) perpetrated to make money and researchers find more species all the time and the sea bounces back. Come on, one of their main assertions is that fishing for tuna and sailfish is diminishing the shark population, they said the same thing about Dolphins and now they are abounding with no help from man.

Well without getting into the politics of global warming, I think the reduction in sharks is pretty well documented. I agree though that we don't know everything, that is for sure. I certainly don't. :)
