Hello all. I've been accused of being "rude and short", so I want to clear this up. When I, or any other person, puts "bump" on a reply to a post you may have made, it is not a negative thing. It means that I, or someone else here, has gone into the unanswered posts and brought it up to being a current post, so more people will see it. It is NOT a negative thing. It is a good thing. We might not know the answer, but we put bump in the reply, so it gets seen and you will get your answer!

mods...I think this needs to be a sticky in the say hello category. if you do I'll take this part off.

hehehe good post Linda!! Although it may be common knowledge to some of us, it's true that some people don't know what it means and could possibly...don't exactly know how..but be taken negatively!!

I agree this should be a sticky. It seems like common sense but I guess not....

    lol,

In the past, I have taken a moment to reply with "Sorry, I don't know the answer..." as a means of bumping the thread... I have not been sure about the etiquette or use of "bump"...

    Thank you

Dang it Peredhil beat me...if only I had woken up earlier. :D

I always thought it was common sense. "bump" is "bumping" the post to the top of the que or what have you. That means, more people can see it.

:LolLolLol:loco::laugh5::freak3: I lol'd on that one. And that is the only time I will ever ever use "lol" in a sentence. I only say lol when I actually do it, dang it! :D

Um, you used "lol" right after you said you weren't going to use it in a sentence again!
